Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways that you can be involved in the MAU community.

Parent Teacher Committee
We have a Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) that sponsors several events throughout the school year, including Harvest Festival, Parent Education Nights, Casino Night, Shakey's Pizza Nights, and the St. Jude Trik-a-Thon.
PTC meets monthly for event planning and to encourage involvement and information sharing between parents within the MAU community. All parents are encouraged to attend.

Field Trip Chaperones
We encourage parents to participate in school field trips. It gives the parents an opportunity to meet other parents within the MAU community along with exploring and observing the children interacting with their peers.

All chaperones are required to:
- Show proof of valid driver's license
- Show proof of active car insurance (if driving children, even your own)
- Show proof of immunizations
- Measles (MMR)
- Influenza (Flu Shot or declination)
- Pertussis (Whooping Cough) (Tdap)
- Proof of Negative TB (tuberculosis) Skin Test or Chest X-Ray

Volunteering in the Classroom
We encourage parents to volunteer for special events (ex: parties) in the classroom. To be able to volunteer in the classroom all parent volunteers are required to show:

- Proof of immunizations
- Measles (MMR)
- Influenza (Flu Shot or declination)
- Pertussis (Whooping Cough) (Tdap)
- Proof of Negative TB (tuberculosis) Skin Test or Chest X-Ray
